It is for this reason Mammoth 4x4 manufactures their Front Axle Shafts from 4140 chromoly to handle the added load of big knobby all-terrain tires. Stronger than stock, these Axles feature beefed up, heavy duty Spicer U-joints to manage the extra abuse associated with serious off-roading.
